Just before Mr X was arrested for the murder of illegal steroids dealer Brian Wainstein in 2017, he was driving down Bellville’s Voortrekker Road in a panic, trying to make sense of conflicting advice from a Hawks officer and a Crime Intelligence officer, the Western Cape High Court in Cape Town heard on Wednesday.
