As police raided a property believed to be a safe house for cash-in-transit robbers, one man jumped barefoot over the wall and into a neighbour’s yard and quickly hid what looked like a gun in a dog’s kennel, and then – pretending to be a concerned neighbour – calmly talked to a plainclothes police officer over the wall.
