The Ghana Industrial Trawlers Association (GITA) has elected Mr Dominic Asamoah Danquah, known in the fishing industry as “Mr Fish”, as its new national president. The election took place during GITA’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM) in almost two decades, held in Prampram, Greater Accra Region, on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 August 2025. More than 40 corporate member companies and over 100 individual members participated. Mr Danquah secured 22 votes against his opponent’s 11.
