Former Independent Police Investigative Directorate investigator Sharmilla Williams has told the inquiry probing the fitness of suspended South Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions Andrew Chauke that members of the Cato Manor organised crime unit appeared to close ranks as suspects linked to their investigations repeatedly ended up dead instead of facing trial.
